Beginning on 27 September 2001, I began a methodical practice of taking daily
self-portraits with my digital camera. I can parse the project in many ways, but ultimately it's a performance about shifting,
evolving and performative identity.
The first seven years of the project document my existence from age 35 to 42. The human body renews the totality of its cells over the span of seven years and,
at age 42, I'm entering into a new seven-year cycle of human development. It seems fitting to close the first generation of
the project and to begin anew. These pages document the renewed project. If you will, it's Daily Photo 2.0.
